Max the dog

I thought I would post a quick post of some cute pictures of the new addition to our new addition to our family. Max the DOG. I really am not quite a dog person, but I have come to the concession that with two boys I would have to become a dog person. The boys, Gunnar especially, has wanted a dog for quite a while. Now that we are living in the country and have no neighbors and a big yard, we decided that we could get a dog. The dog is actually a really good dog. Neil told me today that there was a guy across the street checking the water on the corn field and he heard the dog bark. Ok, let me back up and say that we've only heard the dog bark like 3 times in the last couple of weeks. Fast forward - Neil was inside and came out to see what the dog was barking about. The dog was pacing back & forth in front of the boys, then he started circling them and making them get close together. Neil came out and told Max that it was Ok and the guy across the street was fine. Then the dog stopped circling and pacing and went to lay down. So, he was doing exactly what we wanted him to do - look out for the boys. We got a Boxer because of all the good things we heard about them. He's lived up to every good thing so far.
