Paden is such a silly boy. He really likes to tease people and he thinks he's funny. I suppose this picture proves his sillyness and there's not much more you can say about it!!

It is nice to go visit family, but is sure is nice to come home too - even if the house is a bit messy. We went to visit my Grandparents in Colville (they live in Addy actually). My parents came, as well as my Aunt, Uncle and cousin from Tonasket. We had Christmas dinner on Wed, the 28th. It was nice - a little crazy chasing the boys around, but all in all we had a good time. Gunnar had to drag his new HyperJet and all of his Rescue Heros, which is a LOT of stuff. Along with his new Madagascar DVD, the Rescue Heros kept him occupied. My grandparents live up in the mountains and there's quite a bit of snow. We were going OK up the hill, but my grandpa had started coming down in his 4x4 to see if we needed help. Since it's a one lane road, especially in the snow, we had to stop. We really needed help then. So, we get the car hooked up to the truck and start going up the hill. Gunnar was sitting on Neil's lap helping him drive. Gunnar had just woken up and was a little groggy, but he got out to "help" hook the car up. Once he got in and we started going he said, "Wow, Great Grandpa is tow truckin' us up the big hill!" He was excited that Grandpa could tow truck us so we could make it. We were too! We stayed two nights there. We left on Friday and went down to Spokane for shopping. Neil got me a great anniversary gift - a docking station for the satelite radio for my office. It' great, I love it! No more repeated CDs all day, since there's no radio stations, especially in the wintery cloud cover! Our anniversary is December 29th and we've been married for FIVE big ones now! How time flies! We are glad to be home. When we left Wenatchee, all the snow had melted. When we got back, the snow was back also! The snow's not bad until it gets cold enough to freeze everything. It's still winter!! So, I got lots of great stuff for scrapbooking for Christmas and to stay up for the New Year, that's what I am going to be doing - otherwise I might fall asleep!! We have church at 9:00am starting tomorrow, so that should be interesting! HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Trying to take pictures of two wild and silly boys who don't want their picture taken is quite the adventrure. It did end up being kind of funny. I wanted to take them to Sears and have them done - separate and together. I haven't ever had their pictures taken in nice clothes. So, I bought the outfits - 4T for Gunnar and 12 months for Paden. The outfits are pants, shirts, vests and ties. So, the pants are HUGE on them and the shirts fit OK - but will be too small in about 2 weeks. I decided maybe I should save some money and take the pictures at home instead of going to Sears. I tried one day and Paden wouldn't stay still and Gunnar was whining because he didn't want his picture taken. That's the day that this picture was taken. So, it's not the best picture so I decided not to use it. I decided that I would wait until Neil was home to help wrangle the boys. This past Saturday, I tried again. This is what happened . . .

So, I let them out of their outfits and out of picture taking for a minute. Once they got out of the clothes, they actually loosened up a bit. Theeeen, I got some cute shots of them . . . but not many that I wanted to put on a Christmas card.
Then I finally had to settle on one to get the cards in the mail. I cropped Paden's big Flintstone foot out and slapped it in the cards.

Being new to the blogging idea, I am not sure where to begin. I went to a scrapbook retreat at Snoqualmie Pass for 3 days. It was AWESOME. I had a great time. So, I thought I would show off a couple of pages that I did there that have some great pictures of Paden.Paden is now 9 months old. At his check up on 11-16, he weighed 19 pounds 5 ounces. He was 27 inches long (I think). So, he's getting big. He's a very fun-loving baby. He's kind of a tease and a flirt! He laughs and smiles a lot. He can get mad and scream, but that's really only if he's hungry and feels as though he's starving to death! He's really a fun boy!
This picture was taken at the Halloween Party at the Church. He was a ball player - 70's style. I was a hippie. I had a great costume, but I didn't get any pics of it. Gunnar was a Rescue Hero, Billy Blazes. Luckily, he was happy with the dollar store accessories that we bought for him. Neil was a guy from Caddy Shack. It was good costume also. Gunnar wasn't real interested in getting candy, mostly just wanted to run around with his friends. When we first got there, Paden was asleep and when he woke up, he was freaked out by all the costumes, darkness, and noise. It took him about 10 mintues to stop crying, then he was fine. Funny kid!

Padey Boy is a nick name that Paden will probably have to live with for his life time. Gunnar introduces Paden to strangers in the grocery store by saying, "Hi. I am Gunnar. I am 3. And this is my friend Padey Boy!" It's pretty cute. We try to get Gunnar to say that it's actually his brother, Paden. But, no such luck so far. So, this is one of the three pages of Paden's book that I got done at the scrapbook retreat. It was the last one I did and I still have the journaling to do on it, but it's good enough to view. Paden is always smiley!
